Akkeshi Peated Single Malt

Lightly peated single malt whisky distilled by Akkeshi Distillery in Akkeshi, Japan. Seventh release in the Sekki series. This corresponds to the seventh season in the 24 Sekki, which divide the solar year into 24 equal phases. Rikka, meaning “Start of Summer,” begins around May 5th. It marks the shift from spring to summer, as temperatures rise and nature becomes more active. Produced using barley grown in Hokkaido and water from the Homakai River; matured mainly in ex-bourbon casks with a smaller portion aged in Mizunara oak casks. Bottled in 2025 at 55% ABV.
