Akkeshi Blended Whisky

Lightly peated blended whisky distilled by Akkeshi Distillery in Akkeshi, Japan. 17th release of the Sekki series. This is the 18th season in the 24 Sekki. The 24 Japanese Sekki divide the solar year into 24 equal seasonal phases. Soko, meaning “Frost Descends,” begins around October 23rd. It marks the final phase of autumn, when temperatures drop and the first frost forms, signalling the approach of winter. Matured using a variety of cask types, including ex-bourbon, sherry, wine, and Mizunara oak, to create a layered and balanced profile. Bottled in 2024 at 48% ABV in limited quantities.
