Akkeshi Blended Whisky

Lightly peated blended whisky distilled by Akkeshi Distillery in Akkeshi, Japan. Twenty-second release in the Sekki series. This corresponds to the twenty-second season in the 24 Sekki, which divide the solar year into 24 equal phases. Tōji, meaning “Winter Solstice,” begins around December 21–22. It marks the shortest day and longest night of the year, signalling the official start of winter. Produced using barley grown in Hokkaido and water from the Homakai River; matured primarily in ex-bourbon barrels with some aging in Mizunara oak casks. Bottled at 48% ABV.
