Akkeshi Blended Whisky

Lightly peated single malt whisky distilled by Akkeshi Distillery in Akkeshi, Japan. Twelfth release in the Sekki series. This corresponds to the twelfth season in the 24 Sekki, which divide the solar year into 24 equal phases. Kokuu, meaning “Grain Rain,” begins around April 20th. It marks a period of increased rainfall important for the growth of grains and plants, signaling late spring. Produced using barley grown in Hokkaido and water from the Homakai River; matured mainly in ex-bourbon casks with a smaller portion aged in Mizunara oak casks. Bottled at 48% ABV.
