About this bottle
Lightly peated blended whisky distilled by Akkeshi Distillery in Akkeshi, Japan. Eleventh release in the Sekki series.
This corresponds to the eleventh season in the 24 Sekki, which divide the solar year into 24 equal phases.
Shōshō, meaning “Minor Heat,” begins around July 7th. It marks a period when summer heat starts to intensify, before the peak of midsummer.
Produced using malt and grain whiskies; matured primarily in ex-bourbon barrels, with some maturation in ex-sherry and Mizunara oak casks. Bottled in 2024 at 55% ABV.
