Jack Daniel's 1905 Gold Medal - Liege Belgium (1-Litre)

In 1904, Jack Daniel befriended Mr M. Hoctor of Great Britain at the St. Louis World's Fair. The Englishman insisted the world would welcome the distinctive taste of Mr Jack's charcoal-mellowed whiskey. He encouraged Mr Jack to send the very first of his whisky to Europe, where it was revered and awarded the Gold Medal at Liege, Belgium, in 1905.

Over the years, Me Jack Daniel's has earned a number of international gold medals for excellence including:

St Louis Worlds Fair, 1904;
Liege, Belgium, 1905;
Ghent, Belgium, 1913;
Anglo-American Exposition, London, 1914;
Certificate of the Institute of Hygiene, London 1915;
Star of Excellence, Brussels, 1954;
Amsterdam, Holland, 1981.
