Mortlach 50 Years Old 1942 - G&M Decanter
This fabulous whisky was distilled at Mortlach Distillery, Dufftown, in the Highlands of Scotland on 31st December 1942. The whisky has matured in selected oak casks at the distillery and more recently in Mortlach's warehouses in Elgin. The whisky was drawn from cask on its 50th Anniversary, Thursday 31st December 1992 and subsequently bottled under the supervision of the Director of the distillery in the City and Royal Burgh of Elgin.
This particular lot comes with a two boxes. One has damage to the buckle but the other is like new condition.
The bottle also benefits from being measured and re-sealed by Gordon & MacPhail in May 2015 to ensure a tight seal and keep evaporation at bay for many years to come. The is documented and comes with a letter from Gordon & MacPhail to satisfy any questions about the bottle seal.
