Fettercairn 40 Years Old 1969 - Rare Vintage

A Rare Vintage bottling of Fettercairn 40 years old single Highland malt Scotch whisky. Distilled on the 18th March 1969 and left to mature in the finest sherry butts from the noble Sherry House of Gronzalez Byass in Spain for 40 long years. Limited to only 463 bottles, these bottles are also individually signed.

Fettercairn is one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland. The name Fettercairn means 'Foot of the Mountain' and on visiting the town you can understand why they named the town. In 1861 Queen Victoria and Price Alfred stopped at Fettercairn en route to their Scottish palace at Balmoral. It was said they wandered the streets un-recognised enjoying the picturesque village known as the jewel of the Mearns. A commemorative arch was later constructed to mark the occasion and it is this arch you can see on the Fettercairn bottles.

Each bottle is signed by the distillery manager David Doig.
