Bowmore 43 Years Old 1973 - Limited Release Selected By Hand
Distilled wholly on the 10th of May 1973, this Bowmore was selected by hand from the last six remaining Bourbon 1973 Hogsheads (Cask No. 3883-3888) maturing in The No.1 Vaults. This extremely rare limited edition bottling has, over its 43-year maturation, unlocked the exotic fruit tastes that have remained an enigma to whisky connoisseurs worldwide and are renowned in the most collectable old Bowmore.
A proportion of these bottles have a black wax seal. Information from Bowmore:
"The Bowmore 1973 will have some that have a black seal in the neck of the bottle holding the strip of ribbon in place and some will be like yours being wax dipped. The strip of ribbon did not travel well and the black wax was the solution."
