Glengoyne 40 Years Old 1969

The oldest and possibly finest Glengoyne ever released. This sumptuous Single Malt has been a long time in the making. Distilled in 1969, it first resided in selected 2nd fill hogsheads. Twenty eight years later it was re-racked in to 1st fill Sherry butts. Twelve years after that it filled into elegant, hand-blown, bespoke Glencairn whisky decanters, at full strength, un-chillfiltered. The result is a silky smooth 40 Year Old whisky of extraordinary depth and complexity.

Produced in the prestigious Glengoyne Distillery in the Scottish Highlands, the exceptional whiskey is encased in a hand-blown Glencairn Crystal decanter and decorated with an engraved sheaf of wheat on the stopper.

The decanter itself is presented in a lacquered, piano-finished solid oak wood box embellished with gold plates on the front and featuring a hand-stitched cream leather interior.
Each bottle is engraved with an individual number on the base, numbering the limited edition run from one to 250.
