Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2004 - Kentraw Farm Foreland
Chalice Barley harvested September and Distilled December 2004. Grown on Kentraw Farm, one mile from the Bruichladdich Distillery on south-east facing pebbly / sandy slopes above Lochindaal. Looking out to the Atlantic and, on a clear day, to Ireland.
"This is the first Islay-grown whisky to be distilled in recent times. Farmer Raymond Stewart of Foreland was the first to respond to our challenge, and it is with great pride that here we bring the fruits of his labour to market".
