Laphroaig announced this special edition whisky to celebrate 21 years of Friends of Laphroaig. This bottle was originally only available by ballot and is from first-fill ex-bourbon casks with some being air-dried instead of kiln-dried. Rumour has it that around 13,000 bottles were released. With over 680,000 Friends of Laphroaig demand was bound to be high.
