Strathisla 47 Years Old 1937 - G&M Book of Kells'
An iconic "unicorn" bottling that does not come onto the secondary market very often at all, (this bottling has only been available a few times over the last decade).
Distilled pre-World War 2 in 1937, this 47-year-old whisky is from Strathisla distillery and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail, Elgin. The label depicts a scene 'The Dram Takers' which was adapted from the Book of Kells, Circa 700 A.D.
The Book of Kells range of bottles is an iconic series from arguably the most famous independent bottlers in the Scotch whisky industry. These are bottles that collectors crave for their collection.
