C.Y.P.B. — "Craft Your Perfect Bourbon" — is a Weller expression from Buffalo Trace Distillery. In 2015, Buffalo Trace invited whiskey drinkers to vote online for their ideal bourbon, choosing between options for mash bill, warehouse aging location, proof, and flavour profile. Over 100,000 people took part, and the results pointed clearly to a wheated bourbon, aged on the highest floors of the rickhouse, bottled at 95 proof. The bourbon uses Weller's wheated mash bill, which substitutes wheat for rye as the secondary grain — the same recipe William Larue Weller first used in 1849, and the mash bill shared with Buffalo Trace's Pappy Van Winkle line. This gives the whiskey a softer, rounder profile than a typical rye-mash bourbon. C.Y.P.B. was first released in 2018 and has since become an annual May release, aged for around 8 years and bottled at 95 proof (47.5% ABV) each time. Because it shares its mash bill with the highly allocated Pappy Van Winkle range, and is produced at Buffalo Trace — one of the most in-demand distilleries in the US. This bottling is a Taiwan Import bottle.
Buffalo Trace

Buffalo Trace Distillery is one of America’s oldest continually operating distilleries and a cornerstone of Kentucky bourbon history. Located in Frankfort, Kentucky, the site’s distilling heritage dates back to 1775, with the modern distillery formally established in 1870. It takes its name from the ancient buffalo trails that once crossed the nearby Kentucky River, routes later used by early American pioneers. Renowned for its commitment to traditional production methods, Buffalo Trace uses the same mashbills, copper column stills, and time-honoured processes that have shaped its whiskey for generations. The distillery is famous for balancing consistency with innovation, producing a wide range of bourbons and rye whiskeys while maintaining a strong focus on quality and long-term ageing. Its warehouses, some of the oldest in the United States, play a vital role in developing the distinctive character of its spirits. Today, Buffalo Trace is owned by the Sazerac Company and enjoys global recognition for both its heritage and its award-winning whiskeys. Home to iconic brands such as Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Eagle Rare, George T. Stagg, William Larue Weller, and Pappy Van Winkle, the distillery has become one of the most influential and respected names in American whiskey,
