White Peak Wire Works
Small Batch Release (Necessary Evil)
Lot #1300032
FINISH DATE
30 September 2024
Small batch whisky from White Peak Distillery situated in the heart of Derbyshire, named after the building where it is located. This whisky has been mashed, fermented, distilled, and matured on-site, a full lifecycle at the Wire Works location that gives the distillery its name. It's made from a combination of both unpeated and peated malt, and benefits from a slow four-day fermentation and the use of fresh, live yeast from a local Derbyshire brewery to create a unique spirit profile.
A stout finished single malt English whisky, but not just any stout. Necessary Evil is a Derbyshire-crafted imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels (at an ABV of 13%) at Thornbridge Brewery.
Limited to 2059 individually numbered bottles.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I bid on the auctions?
You’ll need an account with us to place bids in any auction. Registration takes 60 seconds and there’s a small £5.00 registration fee, payable by credit or debit card. Once paid, you will be registered and can place bids in the auction immediately. The registration fee helps us ensure you’re a real person and a genuine bidder.
Why does the timer extend on a lot?
In the interest of fairness, any bids placed in the final five minutes of a particular lot will extend the end time of that Lot by 15 minutes. We believe in giving our customers a fair amount of time to increase their bid should they wish. Last second sniping isn’t in the spirit of our auctions and by using this system there is no benefit to doing so.
