Here we have the first release (inaugural) whisky from White Peak Distillery situated in the heart of Derbyshire, named after the building where it is located. This whisky has been mashed, fermented, distilled, and matured on-site, a full lifecycle at the Wire Works location that gives the distillery its name. It's made from a combination of both unpeated and peated malt, and benefits from a slow four-day fermentation and the use of fresh, live yeast from a local Derbyshire brewery to create a unique spirit profile, which is then accentuated by a combination of ex-bourbon and STR casks.

White Peak Distillery, located in Derbyshire, England, is a craft distillery established in 2016 by husband-and-wife team Max and Claire Vaughan. Situated in the Derwent Valley Mills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the distillery occupies the former Johnson & Nephew Wire Works, honoring the region's industrial heritage while pioneering its spirits production. This setting offers not only a historical backdrop but also inspires the distillery's ethos of authenticity and craftsmanship. The distillery is best known for its Wire Works Whisky, which is Derbyshire's first single malt.

How can I bid on the auctions?

Why does the timer extend on a lot?
In the interest of fairness, any bids placed in the final five minutes of a particular lot will extend the end time of that Lot by 15 minutes. We believe in giving our customers a fair amount of time to increase their bid should they wish. Last second sniping isn’t in the spirit of our auctions and by using this system there is no benefit to doing so.

Once at Just Whisky, we’ll handle photography and description of your lots and enter your whisky into our auction. We take payment, then pay you within 14 days of the auction end date.
