Saburmaru 4 Years Old 2020

Selected to mark the 5th anniversary of Aloha Whisky Bar, this Saburomaru single malt whisky was matured on site for just over 4 years in a 1st fill ex-Bourbon barrel. The barley used was peated to 50ppm using Islay-peat. This is the 24th release in the Yoshitoshi Ghost Series, a collection of rare Japanese whiskies curated by whisky enthusiast and author Stefan Van Eycken, known for Whisky Rising: The Definitive Guide to the Finest Whiskies and Distillers of Japan. Each bottle in the series showcases a Yukiyo-e artwork from Yoshitoshi's New Forms of 36 Ghosts. This print shows Priest Raigo's vengeful spirit transformed into a rat with smaller rats assisting him in his destruction of the sacred books of the Mii temple.
