Reaney & Greaves Finest Liqueur Blended Whisky (Under 30 Proof)

A fantastic opportunity to own a bottle from a bygone era. This Reaney & Greaves Finest Liqueur Whisky was bottled circa 1930 so will contain whiskies from that decade and even earlier. This was an era of the whisky merchant purchasing casks from distilleries and then creating their own blends to sell from their Bradford store and other locations.

It features a stopper cork with plain foil wrapper capsule and a two part moulded glass bottle. 'Reaney & Greaves Whisky Blenders Bradford'. Level base of neck. No capacity stated although bottle is standard size is around 75cl. 30 Under Proof (40% ABV).

Wear and ageing to label appropriate to age and cellar storage conditions.

The seller has advised that one bottle from the same batch was opened and found to be incredibly oily, sooty, waxy and full of peat, very dry, mieral, phenol driven old style peat that betrays a high malt content old blend. The fill level and clarity of the liquid suggests that here the whisky has survived exceptionally well and should be stunning for anyone who wishes to open it.
