Paul John Batch 1

Named after the chairman of John Distilleries, Paul John was established in 1992 to meet the growing domestic demand for spirits. In the beginning, whisky was solely made from molasses and this forms the basis of many popular brands to this day. These brands such as Original Choice, are supplemented by malt distilleries within the company’s portfolio, but remain predominantly neutral spirit and molasses-based. The Paul John distillery in Goa, moved into single malts in 2007 when pot stills were installed, with a now-famous debut in 2012 that surprised many in the whisky scene. Since then, Paul John has continued to grow its single malt brand and has expanded the distillery in 2017 to meet international demand for its growing range.
