James B.Beam Distilling Co release the Kentucky Series in 2023, which is one of the most ambitious terroir experiments in American bourbon history. All three expressions in this series share the same mash bill (77% Corn, 13% Rye, 10% Malted Barley), were laid down within 24 hours of each other, and aged for exactly 17 years (204 months) — the only variable being where in Kentucky the barrels rested. Boston, the Booker Noe campus, is open, consistently windy, and sun-drenched, conditions that drive a faster, richer style of aging.
