The Hosh Cask No.106/2007
Lot #1420919
FINISH DATE
22 September 2025
This rare single malt whisky has been crafted, bottled and labelled by hand at The Glenturret Distillery. New make spirit was filled into a cask (No.106/2007) on the 20th of April 2007, resting peacefully in the quiet of The Hosh. 'The Hosh' was a galic name given to the beautiful and secluded lands surrounding the Glenturret distillery. Sitting on the lower glen, overlooking the river Turret, the Hosh is a picturesque and fertile area near the historic market town of Crieff. Bottled at cask strength and only producing 602 individually numbered bottles.

Minor crease to box.

Glenturret

Glenturret is one of Scotland’s oldest, if not the oldest distillery, founded in 1775 officially under the name of Hosh, by illicit distillers. Unsurprisingly there is a rich history to the site, which is one of the most picturesque distilleries in Scotland. By current standards, Glenturret is a very small producer and until recently was used mainly by Edrington as a Famous Grouse attraction, thereby overlooking the single malt. It was never a comfortable fit and came to an end in 2019 when the Lalique Group purchased the distillery. Since then, a new single malt range has been launched in 2020, under the watchful eye of Bob Dalgarno was the Master blender at Macallan. He has taken the maturating stock and crafted a series of whiskies that remind many of Macallan, but at a fraction of the cost. A pleasant surprise to many in 2020, expectations are rising around Glenturret as it seeks to establish a new identity.
