Diageo Abercrombie Copper Still Coasters Set

A set of 6 individually engraved coasters made from the copper stills of Diageos six 'Classic Malts of Scotland' distilleries. Engineers and coppersmiths from Diageo Abercrombie were commissioned to create the set to commemorate 50 years of Diageo at the Caledonian Road site, Alloa. There are believed to be only 60 sets in existence. The inscriptions read; Lagavulin - This coaster was cut from the side sheets of the no.1 spirit still at the Lagavulin distillery installed in 1962 - replaced 2012. Manufactured by the coppersmiths & engineers at Diageo Abercrombie to celebrate 50 years on the Caledonian Road site Glenkinchie - This coaster was cut from the ogee of the wash still at the Glenkinchie distillery installed in 1980 - replaced 2008. Manufactured by the coppersmiths & engineers at Diageo Abercrombie to celebrate 50 years on the Caledonian Road site Dalwhinnie - This coaster was cut from the ogee of the wash still at the Dalwhinnie distillery installed in 1980 - replaced 2007. Manufactured by the coppersmiths & engineers at Diageo Abercrombie to celebrate 50 years on the Caledonian Road site Oban - This coaster was cut from the swan neck of the wash still at the Oban distillery installed in 2003 - replaced 2010. Manufactured by the coppersmiths & engineers at Diageo Abercrombie to celebrate 50 years on the Caledonian Road site Talisker - This coaster was cut from the swan neck of the no.1 spirit still at the Talisker distillery installed in 1996 - replaced 2009. Manufactured by the coppersmiths & engineers at Diageo Abercrombie to celebrate 50 years on the Caledonian Road site Cragganmore - This coaster was cut from the side sheets of the no.2 spirit still at the Cragganmore distillery installed in 1973 - replaced 2011.
