Copper Dipping Dog With 1938 Half Penny Base

A nicely made copper dipping dog, using an old 1 pence. Approximately 34cm tall, the pen is used as a reference for scale. The Dipping Dog is a small device in which the workers at the distillery used to keep on them and when given the chance used to dip into the casks to fill it with their desired chosen malt, something we are sure does not happen today. The name Dipping Dog was given due to it being man's best friend and always by the side of the worker.
