    Strathearn Small Batch 001

    2013
    Lot #0930147
    FINISH DATE
    31 August 2021

An Unashamedly young, yet suprisingly mature, single malt at three years old.  Interesting and distingtive in flavour.  Where young hand crafted spirit meets only the finest european oak and ex-sherry casks.

    Strathearn

Established in 2013 by Tony Reeman-Clark in a converted farm steading. Strathearn is one of Scotland’s smallest distilleries and sits in the Highland region, just north of Perth. Easily accessible, it has in recent times made its own single malt debut and offered many customers the opportunity to purchase their own casks. In 2019 the distillery was acquired by Douglas Laing & Co. in what was a surprising move, as their focus was on establishing their own Glasgow-based distillery. The stills are made and Portugal, Alembic in shape which gives the liquid a surprising heaviness and characteristic. A small-batch release via Douglas Laing offered a mix of oak and sherry casks bottled at 46%.
