The fifth instalment in Wolfburn's renowned collector's series. Kylver 5 is named after the fifth runic letter in the Kylver alphabet, Raidō, which means 'to ride' or 'journey'.
To quote a poem from the Viking era which uses the Raidō rune, “Riding seems easy to every warrior while he is indoors, and very courageous to he who traverses the high roads!”
The whisky inside the bottles has been crafted from a combination of first-fill bourbon and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Together those bourbon and PX sherry casks are expected to produce only around 900 bottles
Wolfburn
Located on the outskirts of Thurso, Wolfburn when it was established in 2013 became the most northerly mainland distillery in Scotland. Taking its name and inspiration from a nearby lost distillery, Wolfburn focuses on an unpeated distillate but in recent times has given up a small percentage of production to a lightly peated variant. Production is small by whisky standards with a single pair of stills being the centre point of the distillery. Despite this, Wolfburn has managed to build a range of core expressions that are well distributed internationally. A variety of single casks and limited edition expressions have also been released as Wolfburn tries to establish its own identity; something that it hasn’t managed to accomplish yet.

How can I bid on the auctions?
You’ll need an account with us to place bids in any auction. Registration takes 60 seconds and there’s a small £5.00 registration fee, payable by credit or debit card. Why does the timer extend on a lot?
In the interest of fairness, any bids placed in the final five minutes of a particular lot will extend the end time of that Lot by 15 minutes. We believe in giving our customers a fair amount of time to increase their bid should they wish. Last second sniping isn’t in the spirit of our auctions and by using this system there is no benefit to doing so.

The first step is to get your whisky to us. We can help with courier collections, or you can arrange transport yourself. Once at Just Whisky, we’ll handle photography and description of your lots and enter your whisky into our auction. We take payment, then pay you within 14 days of the auction end date.
