Wolfburn 3 Years Old 2013

2017 Van Wees Pot Still Festival
Lot #1420003
FINISH DATE
22 September 2025
Distilled at Wolfburn in October 2013, then matured for 3 years in an ex-Islay Quarter cask (No.711) before being bottled in September 2017 at 55%. The cask yielded 154 bottles, all bottled for the Van Wees Pot Still Festival 2017.
Wolfburn

Located on the outskirts of Thurso, Wolfburn when it was established in 2013 became the most northerly mainland distillery in Scotland. Taking its name and inspiration from a nearby lost distillery, Wolfburn focuses on an unpeated distillate but in recent times has given up a small percentage of production to a lightly peated variant. Production is small by whisky standards with a single pair of stills being the centre point of the distillery. Despite this, Wolfburn has managed to build a range of core expressions that are well distributed internationally. A variety of single casks and limited edition expressions have also been released as Wolfburn tries to establish its own identity; something that it hasn’t managed to accomplish yet.
