Waterford Argot Cuvée

Drawing inspiration from Bordeaux’s tradition of second wines, Argot is Waterford Whisky’s more rebellious counterpart to The Cuvée—an approachable yet characterful introduction to the house style, animated by a sly flash of Irish peat. The name Argot (pronounced ar-go) refers to a private language: the coded speech of outsiders, creatives, and rule-breakers. It’s a fitting title for a whisky that doesn’t follow the straight and narrow. Crafted as a lively, confident single malt, Argot unites a selection of Waterford’s Single Farm Origins, building layers of flavour and texture while keeping a sense of energy and freedom at its core. The peat is subtle but purposeful, adding intrigue rather than dominance. Maturation takes place entirely in a thoughtfully balanced combination of casks: 37% first-fill American oak, 19% virgin American oak, 19% high-quality French oak, and 23% Vin Doux Naturel, delivering depth, contrast, and a distinctive, expressive finish.
