Very Olde St Nick Lot.1

Established in 1986 the Very Olde St Nick brand is owned by InterBev, a subsidiary of Allied Lomar in California, who's other products include Rare Perfection and Wattie Boone. Its president, Marci Palatella has been sourcing barrels and bottling them for several decades. She was Julian Van Winkle III's agent in the Japanese market in the 1980 and 1990s, and devised the Very Olde St Nick brand to capitalise on the Japanese demand for well-aged Bourbon and Rye Whiskey. In 2018, Marci Palatella opened the Preservation Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. A small craft distillery operating a pot still, it produces only a few barrels each day. If you’re bourbon and whiskey obsessed, you likely already know Very Olde St. Nick (VOSN). It has been produced for decades, always in extremely small batches and using an eclectic assortment of hand-designed labels and odd bottle lots, VOSN is known for rare bourbon and whiskies of exceptional quality, big rich flavor profiles, with each minuscule lots being a memorable enigma. This bottling of Very Olde St Nick Harvest Rye Lot.1 has been drawn from a cask that has been held at Preservation distillery but has originally been distilled at an undisclosed distillery. Bottled at cask strength, and drawn from one of the high-quality casks that are stored at this distillery.
