1x Tormore 2016 Refill Hogshead cask No.632, held in bond at Elite Wine & Whisky Ltd. New Bulk Litres: 220.03 Litres New Strength: 65.4% New Litres of Alcohol: 143.9 Litres The cask was filled on the 28/11/2016, it has been maturing in a warehouse at a bonded warehouse by Elite Wine & Whisky Ltd. The cask was re-gauged on the 16/06/2026, following are the results of the re-gauge. Tasting Notes by Angus MacRaild (Whisky Consultant & Author) Nose: Clean, grassy and with the impression of delicate sweetness. Very textbook modern Speyside malt, slightly masked by the high natural ABV. With water: a much richer profile emerges, many more base cereal notes develop, with cedar, cooking oil and face cream notes all coming through. Palate: The alcohol is dominant at cask strength, but the underlying distillate is flawless and focused on lemon, green fruit and grassy notes. With water: once again a rounder and more balanced, yet still highly typical, profile emerges. Still rather green and citric, but with more oils, breads and toasted cereal notes coming through. Finish: Medium, slighlty drying, tilting towards the cereals and breads. Comments: Probably a cask you could sit on for anywhere from 10-30 years. Impeccable distillate but perhaps not immediately ready for bottling. Fees / Other costs to be aware of: Storage Fees – £1.22 per week Cask Insurance - £5.00 per £1,000 value of cask, per year. Regauging - £80+VAT Sample - £50+Duty Tasting Notes - Supplied by Angus MacRaild (Whisky Consultant & Author) IMPORTANT: Annual storage fees and any cask transfer admin fees will become payable by the buyer. Legal ownership of the cask will be transferred to the buyer once payment has been received by Just Whisky. Funds will be held by Just Whisky until the buyer is in legal receipt of the cask ownership to protect the buyer's transaction. The buyer will be responsible for any costs relating to removing the cask from bond in the future (i.e UK excise duty / VAT) as well as any other costs associated with cask movement and bottling. Non-UK buyers must appoint a duty representative to act on his/her behalf for transfer of ownership of the cask. The duty representative will need to be registered with HMRC and will normally charge an annual fee for the service. UK revenue trader (business or private individual connected to the trade), will need to be registered with HMRC and hold a WOWGR certificate.
