In 2011 the first Tomatin Decades was released to celebrate the career of then Master Distiller Douglas Campbell. It took 5 casks, one from each decade of his tenure, and married them together to create a unique bottle.
Douglas' successor Graham Eunson has revived Decades for this special bottling, Decades II, and has handpicked 21 casks spanning the last 5 decades. 5 different cask styles have then been chosen and combined to create this second release of Decades, bottled in 2019.

Tomatin
By 1974, Tomatin was the largest distillery in Scotland with an incredible 23 stills producing content for a variety of blenders. Its own single malt presence has been muted since its foundation in 1897, that is until it went into liquidation in 1985 and was rescued by a Japanese consortium, who wanted to protect a reliable source for their domestic blends. Since then, the number of stills may have reduced and this unique site just south of Inverness, may have less traffic, but there’s been a slow and confident push to establish Tomatin as more of a whisky in its own right. Armed with a sizeable maturing inventory, the team have also been able to release a new brand known as Cu Bocan to showcase a smokier and darker side.

Why does the timer extend on a lot?
In the interest of fairness, any bids placed in the final five minutes of a particular lot will extend the end time of that Lot by 15 minutes. We believe in giving our customers a fair amount of time to increase their bid should they wish. Last second sniping isn’t in the spirit of our auctions and by using this system there is no benefit to doing so.
