The Sandebud 6 Years Old

A unique blended malt from Adelphi which has been created by marrying single malt from Ardnamurchan and the Swedish High Coast distillery. All of the whisky used has been matured for at least 6 years. Bottled at 58.9% ABV, yielding 1136 bottles. The Sandebud was created in honour of the Scottish lawyer-turned-merchant Colin Campbell (1686-1757). An enterprising character, Campbell moved to Sweden in 1731when he co-founded the Swedish East India Company, an ambitious tade body set up to compete with similar Dutch and British endeavours. Following his knighthood and a ambassadorial appointment, Campbell led the Company's first trade mission to China and the Far East. AS Campbell's commercial venture thrived, new wealth flooded into Sweden, and Gothenburg flourished. Campbel was interred in Goherburg Catherdral after his death in 1757.
