Teeling Irish Whiskey
One of the great deals in recent times led to the creation of the Teeling distillery in Dublin in 2015. The Teeling family negotiated such a deal when selling both the Cooley and Kilbeggan distilleries to Beam Suntory, as we know it today. The price included a large quantity of the maturing stock, which allowed the family to launch and build the Teeling brand using sourced whiskies for several years. Teeling became the first new distillery in Dublin in over a century and was joined by Bacardi, who took a small percentage of the venture in 2017. Now able to bottle its own whiskey, it produces malt and single pot still variants to satisfy the local and international demand. The brand is supplemented by a range of sourced releases, some of which have impressive age statements for Irish whiskey.
