The Octave collection represents the finest Single Malt and Single Grain Scotch Whiskies, invigorated by 8 months maturation in reconstructed ex-sherry wood octave casks.

Distilled in 1992 then bottled in 2014 from a single cask distilled at Strathmill.  A Total outrun of just 71 bottles aged 22 years.

    Strathmill

Speyside is littered with distilleries, several of which only exist to provide content for blends. They are rarely seen in any shape or form and Strathmill is a classic example. Despite being a fairly old distillery, founded in 1891 in Keith, Strathmill did not make its single malt debut until 2001 in the Flora & Fauna series. Very little of it has been seen since, with the independent bottlers offering a sense of what it can do. The style of whisky is light, fresh and an inoffensive example of the Speyside region. This is achieved by the presence of purifiers on the spirit stills. These remove denser compounds and characteristics, thereby creating a whisky that can easily supplement a blend such as J&B Scotch.
