Part of Diageo's Casks of Distinction programme, the Strathmill is a vintage single cask filled on 11th July 1994 and bottled in 2016. This release is limited to 180 individually numbered bottles and drawn from a Hogshead cask.
The casks of Distinction is the private sale of individual casks of rare and exceptional Single Malt Scotch Whisky from 28 operating distilleries and long closed “ghost” distilleries in Scotland. Hand selected by a team of four Master Blenders, each Cask of Distinction is chosen on the basis of their quality, representing the most exceptional and singular expression of the distillery’s character.
Strathmill
Speyside is littered with distilleries, several of which only exist to provide content for blends. They are rarely seen in any shape or form and Strathmill is a classic example. Despite being a fairly old distillery, founded in 1891 in Keith, Strathmill did not make its single malt debut until 2001 in the Flora & Fauna series. Very little of it has been seen since, with the independent bottlers offering a sense of what it can do. The style of whisky is light, fresh and an inoffensive example of the Speyside region. This is achieved by the presence of purifiers on the spirit stills. These remove denser compounds and characteristics, thereby creating a whisky that can easily supplement a blend such as J&B Scotch.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I bid on the auctions?
You’ll need an account with us to place bids in any auction. Registration takes 60 seconds and there’s a small £5.00 registration fee, payable by credit or debit card. Once paid, you will be registered and can place bids in the auction immediately. The registration fee helps us ensure you’re a real person and a genuine bidder.
Why does the timer extend on a lot?
In the interest of fairness, any bids placed in the final five minutes of a particular lot will extend the end time of that Lot by 15 minutes. We believe in giving our customers a fair amount of time to increase their bid should they wish. Last second sniping isn’t in the spirit of our auctions and by using this system there is no benefit to doing so.
How do I sell?
