Stauning Danish Rye Whisky

Rye Whisky distilled at Stauning distillery just outside of Skjern, Denmark. Released in 2023, this batch has been matured exclsuively in Virgin American Oak barrels. Stauning Whisky's philosophy is simple. They use only locally grown grains and they handle every part of the whisky-making in-house using the best traditional methods and innovative techniques. The grains are floor malted, dried, mashed, fermented and then double distilled in 24 direct fired pot stills. Unique to Stauning Whisky, local barley is dried by using heather and peat from the nearby moors of the Danish West Coast.
