Stauning 2017 Danish Single Rye Whisky

This Rye whisky was distilled in 2017 at perhaps the biggest name in Nordic whisky, the Danish distillery called Stauning. Matured initially in a single Virgin oak cask, then finished for 1 year in a single Moscatel Sherry cask before being bottled in 2022 by Berry Bros & Rudd for inclusion in their 2nd release of the Nordic Casks range. A total of 254 bottles were drawn from the cask and bottled at a natural strength of 58.9% ABV. Described by Berry Bros & Rudd as a 'monster of a dram from the giants of Danish distillation'.
