This Sikes Hyrdrometer set by BUSS of 33 Hatton Garden, London (official maker to the UK Revenue) is a complete Victorian/early 20th century precision instrument for measuring spirits' alcohol strength.
It is housed in its original fitted mahogany case and brass fittings and velvet lining. It includes the brass hydrometer flat, full set of horse-shoe weights, thermometer.
