This Secret Speyside single malt from the Rothes region was distilled in 1990 and bottled at cask strength by Berry Bros & Rudd in 2020, having been finished in a Red Bordeaux wine cask. Matured for three decades, it combines the elegance and finesse typical of Speyside with the rich depth and complexity imparted by the wine cask. The nose reveals layered aromas of ripe red berries, dark cherries, orchard fruits, soft vanilla, toasted oak, and gentle spice, while the palate is full-bodied and intricate, offering notes of dark chocolate, dried fruit, red wine tannins, and subtle sweetness.
