About this bottle
Saburomaru is the name of the whisky released from the Wakatsuru Shuzo owned distillery in Toyama prefecture. According to popular Japanese whisky website Nonjatta, they have been making heavily peated whisky since 1952 but only for a few months a year.
You may have seen whisky bottled under the 'Sunshine' brand, and this is whisky from the same company.
This single malt was distilled in 1994 and bottled from a Bourbon Barrel in 2016 at 50ppm (peat level). non-chill filtered non coloured.
