    Roseisle 12 Years Old Inaugral
    Special Release 2023 (20cl)
    Lot #1340918

As part of Diageo's 2023 Special Releases, they have bottled this special inaugural single malt bottling from the new Speyside distillery called Roseisle.  This special release has been matured for 12 years in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks and Refill casks, before being bottled at a natural cask strength of 58.5%, sporting a distinctive label showing a flying origami kite.

    Roseisle

Roseisle is the modern vision of a distillery by Diageo, costing £40 million and fondly referred to by some as the ‘Death Star’. Despite being founded in 2009, it remains an enigma to most whisky drinkers. Partially because it is closed to the public, except for occasions during the Speyside Whisky Festival. It remains unseen as a single malt of its own and for now, is dedicated to producing for blends. With a capacity of over 12 million litres, it is a huge producer and resides just outside of Elgin. It produces a variety of different styles as required and was built with efficiency in mind and automation. Reports suggest that its emissions are only 15% of what other comparable distilleries produce, so it is hugely efficient and the only question mark remains over its single malt capabilities, which in time hopefully are revealed.
