Midleton Distillery, located in County Cork, Ireland, is one of the most significant distilleries in the world of Irish whiskey, known for producing some of the most iconic brands, including Jameson, Powers, and Midleton Very Rare. Established in 1975, it replaced the older distilleries of John Jameson & Son, Powers, and Cork Distillers Company, consolidating production into one state-of-the-art facility. The distillery represents a blend of traditional Irish whiskey-making techniques with modern innovation and technology. Midleton is renowned for its triple distillation process, which contributes to the smoothness synonymous with Irish whiskey. The distillery houses various stills, including the largest pot still in the world, used for producing different styles of whiskey. This allows Midleton to craft a wide range of whiskeys, from light and floral grain whiskey to rich, full-bodied pot still expressions, catering to the diverse tastes within the whiskey spectrum.
