While waiting for the new spirit to mature into Scotch Whisky, a single malt demonstrating our whisky making skills to offer a tantalising taster of what’s to come.
IT was achieved this by blending two expressions from one distillery; one peated, one unpeated. The whisky then is then French oak Tuscan wine casks from three vineyards that produce Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
The result? Single malt whisky of uncommon provenance.
Aptly enough, this special edition, lightly peated whisky is christened While We Wait.

Raasay
The Islay of Raasay distillery is a short ferry crossing from the Isle of Skye, and is the first legal distillery on this remote island. Founded by R&B Distillers in 2017, who established their name as a blender of whiskies, the distillery has stunning views back across the island towards Skye and the Cullin mountains. The distillery made its debut release in 2021 and is already looking ahead having laid down a variety of casks maturing on site. More warehousing has been built and the team has been seeking to grow barley on the island to meet some of its production needs. Given the variable weather conditions, it is a massive undertaking, albeit exciting and expectations continue to grow around the Raasay distillery.
