Distilled in 1979 and matured for 40 years, this whisky is a marriage of four American oak hogsheads and nine European oak butts—casks #1469, #1680, #1747, #5176, #4890, #4913, #4914, #6806, and #6816—bottled at cask strength. The release was originally intended to debut at Fèis Ìle, but with the festival’s cancellation in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, '9 Rogue Casks' was instead introduced through a virtual online tasting hosted by future Port Ellen master distiller Georgie Crawford. *Please note: These bottles were originally sold unsealed by the distillery.
