1x Peatside 2011 Quarter Cask No.160036, held in bond at Aceo Ltd. The cask was filled on the 19/10/2011, it has been maturing in a bonded warehouse. The cask was re-gauged in the 30/04/2026, following are the results of the re-gauge. New Bulk Litres: 48.88 New Strength: 53.96% New Litres of Alcohol: 26.37 Original Litres of Alcohol: 75.50 Tasting Notes by Angus MacRaild (Whisky Consultant & Author) Nose: elegant, creamy and mature-profile peat smoke up front. Delicate wood ash notes, cigarette papers full of rolling tobacco and hints of aniseed and herbal liqueurs. Very attractive and rich. Water brings out a coastal profile with beach pebbles, sandalwood and soft sea air impressions. Palate: again a clear impression of creaminess and fatness of texture. A sense the peat character has been nicely concentrated by the effects of the smaller cask size. Lemon curd, charred pineapple, herbal tea and smoked game meats all present. Water brings more aniseed, sooty qualities and some more precise tropical fruit notes. Finish: quite long, elegantly drying, herbal and with excellent drying peat smoke notes. Comments: a lovely and unusual peated malt, ready for bottling and showing excellent distinctiveness and quality. IMPORTANT: New Client Account at Aceo: £100 Removal Fee: £13 per cask uplift fee, £75 administration fee per uplift Storage Fees: £1 per cask per week Sample: 10cl £25/20cl £35 (excluding postage and duty) Re-gauging: Dip £60/weight £80 Legal ownership of the cask will be transferred to the buyer once payment has been received by Just Whisky. Blended Malt

Blended malts, previously known as "vatted malts" or "pure malts," are whiskies made by blending two or more single malt whiskies from different distilleries. This category allows for the creation of a unique flavour profile that can't be achieved by a single malt alone, combining the best characteristics of various malts. Blended malts offer complexity and can vary widely in taste, from sweet and fruity to spicy and peaty, depending on the malts included in the blend. Notable examples include Compass Box's "Asyla" and "Spice Tree," which showcase innovative blending, or Johnnie Walker's "Green Label," which highlights the harmony of Speyside, Highland, Lowland, and Islay malts. These whiskies appeal to those looking for a bridge between single malts and blended whiskies, offering depth and versatility in whisky appreciation.
