Nine Leaves Pure Japanese Rum 2018

Pure, single distillery rum from Nine Leaves, Japan. Distilled in 2018, matured in a single ex-Spanish oak cask, cask No.51 was bottled and presented at Full Proof. From 2013 to 2023, the Nine Leaves distillery founded by Takeuchi Yoshiharu, used to produce rum in the city of Otsu, located in the Shiga prefecture. Inspired by traditional Japanese playing cards, the Unsun Karuta series aims to celebrate the last barrels of the remaining stock, through limited releases of single casks and small batches. The stock is now owned by La Maison & Velier who aim to highlight the exclusive bottlings created by LMDW and Velier, and also bring together their expertise to create and distribute new spirits and innovative products that will disrupt the current market.
