Nikka Miyagikyo 15 Years Old

A rare and highly collectible 15-year-old single cask whisky from Japan’s celebrated Miyagikyo Distillery, produced by the renowned Japanese whisky maker Nikka Whisky. This single malt matured for 15 years in an oak cask (cask no. 51417). Based on the age statement and bottling period, it is estimated to have been distilled around 1997–1998 and bottled approximately between 2012 and 2013. The whisky was released at natural cask strength of 60.0% ABV and was bottled without chill filtration or the addition of colouring, preserving the whisky’s full character and authenticity. Bottles were produced in the small 180 ml and 500 ml formats and were made available exclusively to visitors at the distillery shop, making them particularly difficult to obtain outside Japan. As a result, only a limited number of these single cask bottlings have reached international collectors, further enhancing their rarity and desirability among enthusiasts of Japanese single malt whisky. This limited distillery-only release represents a fine example of Miyagikyo’s elegant and refined house style.
