Distilled in September 2018 at the Nc'Nean distillery on the Morven peninsula in the Western Highlands of Scotland, fully matured in a single, 1st fill STR'd (shaved, toasted and re-charred) red wine cask before bottled in February 2024 exclusively for English Spirits retailers. Bottled at cask strength, without colouring or chill-filtration. One of only 302 bottles.
Nc'nean
Founded in 2017 by Annabel Thomas, Nc’nean is situated in the remote area of Drimnin and has a sustainable ethos that carries through to the distinctive bottles. The distillery was aided by the late Jim Swan and produces 2 styles of distillate with one being deemed more for long term maturation. So far, its releases have been in batches since debuting in 2020 and have proved popular. Going forward, the team are looking to become more sustainable and have begun experimenting with different types of yeast. And the long term distillate is extremely promising, as is the expertise of the team that features a variety of backgrounds and is bringing employment to this distant part of Scotland.

How can I bid on the auctions?
You’ll need an account with us to place bids in any auction. Registration takes 60 seconds and there’s a small £5.00 registration fee, payable by credit or debit card. Why does the timer extend on a lot?
In the interest of fairness, any bids placed in the final five minutes of a particular lot will extend the end time of that Lot by 15 minutes. We believe in giving our customers a fair amount of time to increase their bid should they wish. Last second sniping isn’t in the spirit of our auctions and by using this system there is no benefit to doing so.

Once at Just Whisky, we’ll handle photography and description of your lots and enter your whisky into our auction. We take payment, then pay you within 14 days of the auction end date.
