Nagahama - Yazuka

The Yazuka "Tali" Amahagan World Malt is a non-chill filtered Japanese blended whisky selected by rock musician Kazuya Yoshii. Produced at Nagahama Distillery and bottled at 47% ABV. This release is part of Yoshii's YAZUKA series, launched in 2021. The "Tali" expression takes its name from a 2003 song released under Yoshii's solo project Yoshii Lovinson. The whisky was developed through collaboration between Yoshii and Nagahama Distillery's chief blender. The recipe consists entirely of malt whiskies from various sources, blended to create what the producers describe as a "minimum one-man orchestra" concept. The production involved maturation in wine and sherry casks to develop the whisky's complexity. The blending process aimed to reflect the layered musical composition through the whisky's flavor profile. This world malt whisky represents the second release in the musician's collaborative whisky series with Nagahama Distillery.
