About this bottle
A nice single cask expression of Mosstowie from Signatory Vintage. Distilled on 30/11/1979 then bottled 15/05/2015. It was filled into a Bourbon barrel and matured in that single cask for 35 years before bottling by Signatory Vintage for their cask strength collection. Natural colour.
Mosstowie is the name given to whisky made in the Lomond stills at Miltonduff distillery. The stills were removed in 1981.

Mosstowie was not a standalone distillery but rather a unique expression of whisky produced at the Miltonduff Distillery in Speyside, Scotland. Between 1964 and 1981, Miltonduff utilized innovative Lomond stills, which were designed to offer versatility in spirit character by allowing adjustments during the distillation process. Named after the Mosstowie area near the distillery, this whisky was an experimental venture by Hiram Walker, aiming to create different styles of malt whisky for blending purposes, particularly for their Ballantine's blend.
