Mosstowie is the name of the whisky distilled in the Lomond Stills at Miltonduff distillery. This particular whisky was distilled in 1979, two years prior to the removal of the stills in '81. Bottled in 2012 by Gordon & MacPhail for their Rare Old range.

Mosstowie was not a standalone distillery but rather a unique expression of whisky produced at the Miltonduff Distillery in Speyside, Scotland. Between 1964 and 1981, Miltonduff utilized innovative Lomond stills, which were designed to offer versatility in spirit character by allowing adjustments during the distillation process. Named after the Mosstowie area near the distillery, this whisky was an experimental venture by Hiram Walker, aiming to create different styles of malt whisky for blending purposes, particularly for their Ballantine's blend.
